In early Sierra adventure games, it is common for the player to die thanks to a bad decision. Upon dying, the player is greeted with a humorous message poking fun at their demise. In the first three games, dying means the player has to reload an earlier save game or restart the game altogether. In LSL6, deaths can be instantly undone. It is not possible to die in LSL5, LSL7, and MCL.[citation needed]
